I founded Rachiele® in 1999 with one clear belief: the kitchen sink should serve the cook - not frustrate them. After decades as a kitchen designer, I kept seeing the same problem. Beautiful kitchens were being built around cabinets and appliances, while the person doing the real work was left to adapt to poorly designed kitchen sinks. In 2010 I built the first documented workstation sink. Here is the dated invoice and timeline.
So I did what I’ve always done. I listened, I studied the patterns, and I built something better.
From day one, we committed to American-made stainless steel, copper, brass, and bronze - not just because they’re beautiful, but because they’re built to last. When a sink is crafted with intention, it becomes more than a fixture. It becomes part of your home, your rhythm, and your daily life.
We don’t mass-produce. We build one sink at a time, for one household at a time. And if I’m being honest, the part I’ve always loved most isn’t the sink. It’s the connection that comes from building something personal for someone who truly values it.

An Honored Career in Kitchen Design
In the year 1995, Dino had the honor of being inducted into two prestigious guilds: the Guild of Accredited Cabinetry and Space Designers and the Guild of Professional Kitchen and Bath Planners. His expertise and insight were also recognized in a significant publication, as he served as a named consultant for the Ortho book "How to Plan Perfect Kitchens," authored by Kathleen M. Kiely and published on January 1, 1994. Later, in the July 16th, 2014 issue of Forbes Magazine, an article spotlighted Dino's latest patented creation, the Evolution dual-tier workstation sink, lauding it as one of the most functional sinks on the market at that time.
Between 1995 and 1999, Dino had the privilege of serving as a keynote speaker for numerous companies within the kitchen industry. His role involved delivering lectures on advanced kitchen design techniques to seasoned industry professionals, further cementing his reputation as a thought leader in the field.

At Rachiele Custom Sinks, we believe in putting our resources where they matter most—into making a difference. Rather than spending heavily on advertising, we focus on giving back to those in need. Witnessing the positive impact our work can have is what makes this journey truly meaningful for us.
Since founding this company in 1999, I’ve made it a priority to give back to our veterans in a meaningful way. Every time a veteran purchases one of our sinks, we contribute 50 percent of our net profit from their purchase. It’s a small way to honor the men and women who spend long periods away from their families to protect our freedoms.
One story in particular has stayed with me. A young woman’s husband was deployed in Afghanistan when a flood devastated their home. On top of the emotional toll, she found herself in a difficult battle with her insurance company. Wanting to offer some comfort and relief, we gifted her a custom sink — a small gesture to remind her that she wasn’t alone, and that her family’s sacrifice had not gone unnoticed.
For Over a Decade, We’ve Shared Our Success with First Responders
For more than 12 years, every time a police officer or firefighter purchases one of our sinks, we give back in a meaningful way. We contribute 50 percent of our net profit from their purchase as our way of saying thank you for their service and dedication.
We are deeply grateful to live in a country that champions freedom, celebrates diversity, and rewards hard work. None of that would be possible without the dedication and courage of our first responders.
We recognize the daily risks our police officers and firefighters take to protect our communities. Their unwavering service doesn’t go unnoticed. From all of us here, thank you—for your bravery, your sacrifice, and your commitment to keeping us safe.
Community Commitment begins at home
Giving back has always been a personal priority. In 2003, I began volunteering at Loaves and Fishes, a local nonprofit that supports families across nine Central Florida zip codes. For nearly seven years, I dedicated every Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., helping serve those in need.
Loaves and Fishes operates with just four paid employees and over 80 dedicated volunteers. Since 2010, I’ve continued to serve in an unpaid capacity—first as treasurer, then vice president, and now proudly as both president and treasurer. Every member of our board volunteers their time. It’s an honor to be part of an organization that quietly makes a meaningful difference in so many lives. Take a look at the video below that local channel 6 news did recently.
In the heart of Apopka, Loaves and Fishes stands as a testament to the power of community and compassion. Founded in 1984, the organization has been a lifeline for those in need, providing essential support and fostering a sense of belonging for over 41 years.
For more than 7 years, I volunteered at Loaves and Fishes every Tuesday from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM, and I continue to support the organization financially each month.

Four patents were granted between January and October.
Two patents granted for retrofit farmhouse sink designs.
2008
Granted an additional patent in July.
Stopped selling through dealers and began offering directly to the public.
Most orders began coming from past customers and referrals.

2010
Introduced the first workstation sink to the industry.
2013-2014
Three patents were granted for a sink with two interior steps named Evolution.
Featured in Forbes Magazine.
Honored with the 2014 ADEX Award for the Evolution workstation sink.

2018
Introduced the NexGen™ ledge system, offering no loss of width below the ledge.
2020
Introduced the Paragon™ dual-ledge workstation.
The first and only dual-tier sink with 18 inches of width above and below the workstation ledges.
2021
Introduced the Harmony™ dual-drain single-bowl sink.
Sold three patents to Ruvati, including sinks with two interior steps.
2022
Introduced Zoom meetings to work directly with customers on sink designs.
Added a fiber laser to the artisan shop, improving precision while reducing labor time and material waste.
Introduced fused brass and stainless steel sinks as well as fused copper and stainless steel sinks.

Introduced a new custom corner sink design.
