While working as a kitchen designer, I helped dozens of clients remodel their kitchens due to cracked granite. This expensive and complex process inspired me to develop my innovative retrofit sink design. Replacing your sink is a simple project that is often completed in one day. Over the past 25 years, I have helped hundreds of families save money while getting the sink of their dreams.
A beautiful solution to correct a countertop with a crack in the front and a long back of the sink.
Replacing your sink can be a fairly simple process. We are happy to answer any questions you have along the way. Cracked granite no longer requires replacing all of your granite. The below project was completed, from start to finish, by our customer, who had never done this type of work before!
Hopefully, by now, it is important for granite fabricators to recognize that creating channels under the granite in front of and behind the sink to insert re-bar is problematic. This is because granite is porous, allowing the re-bar to become wet and rust. As the re-bar rusts and expands, the granite, unable to expand, is likely to crack. Our solution resolves this poor type of granite work.

As shown in the video, the sink can simply drop in place. If you do not want to shim the countertop to account for the thickness of the metal, the areas where the sink sits can be routed down 1/16" (the thickness of the metal) to be flush with the cabinetry.
